The Difference Between Marco Rubio and Bernie DeCastro

Marco Rubio and I are two conservatives running for the same U.S. Senate seat. I have repeatedly been asked, "What is the difference between you and Rubio?" Here is my answer.

Marco Rubio is 38 years old and I am 65. For the past 20 years of Marco Rubio's adult life most of it has been spent as a student, a lawyer or a professional politician.

I am an entrepreneur and business man and for the past 20 years of my life I have developed a business which created over fifty jobs and put over 10 million dollars into Florida's economy. I have dedicated the past 25 years to personally helping thousands of men and women caught in the vicious cycle of addiction, crime, incarceration and recidivism (including their families).

Because Marco Rubio is affiliated with the Republican Party, a certain amount of his loyalty and allegiance must be to the Party.

I am a conservative independent and my allegiance and loyalty is to the U.S. Constitution and the American Citizens.

Marco Rubio takes special interest Money and Bernie DeCastro refuses to take special interest money.

The definition of insanity is to continue to do the same things and expect different results. I am not a professional politician, a slick talking lawyer or a millionaire who wants to buy your vote. I am an average citizen, a business owner and I'm mad as hell at how the people we have elected to "serve" us have gone to Congress and are now serving themselves and the special interest groups.
