I BELIEVE in a just tax system that promotes the purposes stated in Article I Section 8 of the U.S. Constitution which states “The Congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common defense and general Welfare of the United States.” Because of the oppressive nature of our current tax system we will work to repeal the 16^th Amendment (Income Tax Amendment) and to adopt a tax system that will meet the genuine needs of our Federal Government and be equitable for all American individuals, families and business entities.
