In a Strong immigration policy
I BELIEVE in a strong immigration policy without amnesty for those currently here illegally. The current lack of enforcement of existing immigration laws is a mockery of our judicial system and has nearly made made using the term ‘illegal immigrant’ more illegal than the immigrants themselves. The federal government’s refusal to enforce these laws has turned every illegal immigrant in this country into a pawn in the hands of vote seeking politicians in every level of government.
We believe that the term Borders, Language and Culture is a responsible way to view the proper procedures of effective immigration. English is the language of America and we must recognize this legally rather than adjust our system to accommodate every language and culture on the planet. Though America has long been called the ‘Melting Pot of the World’ the historic strength of our great nation of immigrants has come from a solid immigration policy that takes a person applying for citizenship through a proven process of education, assimilation and eventually Americanization. This does not discriminate against any ethnic heritage but rather reinforces the unique blend of cultural and ethnic diversity without sacrificing the stability and quality of America as a nation of freedom seeking yet personally responsible individuals.
With the growth of international terrorism and powerful drug cartels it is imperative that we empower our border patrols and our law enforcement agencies with the necessary equipment and authority to enforce our existing laws, and we must make new laws that strengthen our ability to protect against these increasing threats to our security, sovereignty and the well being of our legal citizens.
Efforts by liberals in Congress and special interest groups to skirt the existing laws and to give unearned rights to those who are here illegally has in effect helped to dilute our education system, overburden our criminal justice and emergency healthcare processes, destroy whole segments of blue collar employment and endanger our people with an influx of illegal drugs. It is yet to be known how much this has already opened the door for Muslim extremists groups.
