I BELIEVE in the right to own and possess firearms. The Second Amendment to the Constitution recognizes this right and it is the responsibility of our government to protect this freedom rather than to seek to overturn it. Our founding fathers knew that it is in keeping with the rights of every man to protect his life, family, liberty and property as well as to defend himself against intrusive outside agencies; even the government when and if it oversteps its boundaries and authority and seeks to repress its citizens.

Included in this amendment to the Bill of Rights is the authority for state militias to be formed in order to ensure that no encroachment by federal government or outside forces can overthrow the sovereignty of each individual state or the rights of its citizens without an aggressive and armed resistance by its citizenry.
