Denying Floridians The Right To Vote is Wrong

Florida deprives over half a million of its citizens the right to vote because they have a felony conviction. Although these men and women have paid their debt to society by completing their sentences and supervision requirements, they are still denied the right to vote. Governor Crist championed this cause when he was running for Governor and thenvote[ followed through when he was elected. The problem is that instead of automatic restoration, these citizens have to go through a cumbersome process that in many cases takes up to several years before someone’s rights are restored. Florida is one of only 14 States that do not automatically restore a person’s right to vote when they have finished their sentence.

If you are a Florida citizen 18 years or older and would like to correct this injustice, please print the following form. Then print your full name, address, city, state, zip. If you would like to stay informed about the progress of this cause, please also add your email address. When you are finished please help by having your family and friends do the same. When the list is complete or when you have gotten all of the names you can, then please return the form to FEORC, PO Box 1748, Ocala, FL. 34478.
