Everyone who is planning on voting for Marco Rubio needs to know that he is not the conservative most people think he is. Let me point out where he stands on Cap & Trade, just one of many liberal issues.
But first let me explain for all of you who don’t know what Cap & Trade is. It is all tied in with the false science of Global Warming and it limits the carbon emissions that companies can put into the atmosphere and forces them to buy what is known as “Carbon Credits.” What it simply boils down to is a way to transfer wealth from the United States to underdeveloped countries. If Congress passes National Cap & Trade legislation it will absolutely turn America into a third world economy and lead us right into socialism or Communism at worse.
We all know that politicians will say whatever they think it is we want to hear to get elected. The only true way to see where they stand on an issue is to look at their voting record. Let’s take a look at Rubio’s stand on Global warming and Cap & Trade.
In 2008, while Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, Marco Rubio led the charge in passing Cap & Trade Legislation for the State of Florida. http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/stateroundup/article1057950.ece.
Not only that, but Rubio appointed Harvey Ruvin to a statewide energy Board in order to pass Cap & Trade in Florida. For those of you who are not aware of Mr. Ruvin, he is one of the greatest enemies of our Constitutional Republic in America today. He is Clerk of Court for Miami-Dade County and he is Vice-Chair of International Council on Local Environmental Initiatives (ICLEI). He is good friends with Al Gore and Bill and Hilary Clinton. Here is a quote from Harvey Ruvin “individual rights will have to take a back seat to the collective” in the process of implementing Sustainable Development.
Here is an article from the Ocala Star Banner about the Tea Party Network event held this past Saturday in St. Augustine. Please read below.
The U.S. Senate candidate from the Constitution Party had hoped to speak to a bunch of people who swear fealty to the U.S. Constitution and who will gather today in St. Augustine to celebrate the nation’s founding charter at an event held under the headline “Forward With the Constitution.”
But that candidate is not going to deliver his speech.
In fact, he was rejected from even having a booth to meet the crowd that will gather at Francis Field, where a coalition of Tea Party activists from North Central Florida, including some from Ocala and Gainesville, will rally to celebrate the Constitution.
Now, the campaign of Bernie DeCastro, an Ocala resident representing the Constitution Party, is questioning whether the Tea Partiers’ mission is to work independently of both major parties to demand greater adherence to the principles of the Founding Fathers, as it claims.
It seems, DeCastro said, that the group’s real aim is to slant toward the Republican Party and retool it in their own image.
The answer from one Tea Party enthusiast — at least for now — appears to be yes, with emphasis on the latter.
The issue began a few weeks ago when DeCastro sought to speak at the St. Augustine rally.
His request was eventually denied.
Viability issue
Organizers said they excluded DeCastro because they had not heard of him, their schedule for the four-hour rally was already booked and he was not “viable” in a race dominated by the presence of Gov. Charlie Crist, U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek and Marco Rubio.
As it turns out, Rubio is billed as one of the featured speakers, along with GOP gubernatorial candidate Rick Scott and Pam Bondi, the Republican nominee for state attorney general.
Meanwhile, organizers have allowed Alex Snitker, the Libertarian Party candidate for the U.S. Senate, to address the gathering only because he has a “following” in the St. Augustine area.
That, along with the response from Glenn Lord, a member of the Peoples Tea Party in Jacksonville and the main organizer of today’s event, has stumped DeCastro’s team about the Tea Partiers’ motives and political hopes.
“Personally and overwhelmingly all the area Tea Party groups believe that any third party candidates help the Democrats and hurt the chances of electing people with conservative views,” Lord wrote in an e-mail to DeCastro’s campaign.
“Toward curing that, in a couple of years the Tea Party should own the Republican Party and in 2012 the candidates that will be supported and selected in the primary will be true conservatives,” he added. “There will still be third party candidates who wish to fight the system rather than work inside to change it and they will continue to hurt conservatives.”
Lord offered to let DeCastro speak and “possibly be a headliner” if another rally were held.
But, he concluded, “My personal advice is to repair the wheel that is broken, not go back to the drawing board to re-invent it.”
Lord, in an e-mail response to the Star-Banner, reiterated that DeCastro had been barred because of time constraints.
Not just the GOP
Yet he also maintained that the “Forward With the Constitution” rally, and in a larger sense the Tea Party movement itself, was not a Republican-only affair.
For example, Lord identified Tom Hayes-Morrison, a Democrat who is prominent in the Gainesville Tea Party, as one of the emcees. And Meek was invited to attend but declined — something Meek’s campaign confirmed.
“For the Tea Party movement it is not at all about party, it is about where can we be effective and that has the Republicans and Democrats scared to death,” Lord added in his e-mail to the newspaper.
But some believe the lineup in St. Augustine shows that the Tea Party is only interested in hearing the Republican mantra.
“While I and my campaign fully support all Tea Party members and rallies for restoring America, I believe the response of leaders for the ‘Forward With the Constitution’ event in St. Augustine has been irresponsible, dishonest and contrary to the spirit for which the Tea Parties stand,” DeCastro said in a statement.
DeCastro further added that it was disingenuous as well as hypocritical for the organizers to claim they are unbiased toward all parties but then to acknowledge that their best hopes lie with taking control of the GOP.DeCastro said the organizers’ position, including excluding him from having a booth at the site, “appears to be a deliberate attempt to force their own will and opinions on the people of these inspirational and dedicated Tea Party Patriots.”
DeCastro also observed that Rubio, as far as his campaign staff could determine, had never been vetted by a Tea Party, nor even attended a Tea Party event, until now.
Steve Schonberg, a Belleview resident who is challenging U.S. Rep. Cliff Stearns, R-Ocala, and running without a party affiliation, said he agrees with the Tea Party’s main points about fiscal responsibility and strict adherence to the Constitution.
He had an impression of who the audience in St. Augustine would be and hoped to profit from it.
“It’s really not a Tea Party organization, as far as I’m concerned,” Schonberg said. “It’s really a Republican gathering. I want to go and encourage those Tea Partiers who are unhappy with Cliff Stearns.”
Mary Clark, vice president of Tea Party Solutions in Ocala, which has members supportive of DeCastro, said DeCastro should have been added to the lineup.
“It grieves me because I think Bernie ought to be allowed to speak. That’s not right. Bernie DeCastro has voiced his opinions and his opinions are in line with Tea Party principles. Bernie has shown his allegiance to support the Constitution.”
Looking to win
Some Tea Party activists have gone beyond grassroots demonstrations and are actually looking to get their people elected, forming the Florida TEA party.
They also have a candidate, Peg Dunmire of Orlando, who is challenging Democratic U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson of Orlando, whose district includes much of eastern Marion County.
Lord countered in his e-mail that Florida TEA Party “has nothing to do with the movement and is a ploy funded in part by Grayson” — an allegation TEA Party leaders have vigorously denied.
Lord also pointed out that he has tried to make a third party work. He was a registered Libertarian until earlier this year and had worked on Ross Perot’s campaign.
“The Libertarian Party has had years to make a mark and failed, as has every other third party,” he said. “Working outside the system has failed and I challenge anyone to name where and when a third party has ever succeeded aside from one or two races. Do we remember the huge victories of any third party?”

Gary Johnson look below!
Thomas E. Woods joins us in Orlando to talk about his new book, Nullification: How to Resist Tyranny in the 21st Century. Woods is the New York Times bestselling author of nine books, including Meltdown and The Politically Incorrect Guide to American History. A senior fellow at the Ludwig von Mises Institute, he holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Harvard and his master’s, M.Phil., and Ph.D. from Columbia University.
Gary Johnson is an American businessman, tri-athlete, and libertarian-leaning Republican politician who served as the 29th Governor of New Mexico, from 1994 to 2002. He is the Honorary Chairman of the Our America Initiative. Which as a 501c4 non-profit advocacy committee that seeks to broaden the parameters of the public policy debate of current topics in the national arena. During his term, New Mexico experienced the longest period without a tax increase in the state’s history. Additionally, Governor Johnson vetoed 750 bills (which was more than all the combined vetoes of the other 49 Governors in the country at the time) and thousands of line item vetoed bills. He is known for his creation of a level playing field in business, and the prevention of favoritism in regulation and laws.

The Bernie DeCastro team is proud to announce the endorsement of Sheriff Richard Mack. Sheriff Mack is one of America’s modern day Patrick Henry’s. “In 1994 he, (Mack), filed a lawsuit challenging the Brady bill to stop the federal government from forcing another unfunded mandate down our throats. He won a decision at the US Supreme Court on the issue of States’ rights. This suit catapulted him to national attention, with television appearances on the Donahue Show, Good Morning America, Crossfire, Nightline, CNBC, and SHOWTIME’S the AMERICAN CANDIDATE. He has been on over 500 radio talk shows nationwide, ranging from G. Gordon Liddy and Charles Goyette to Derry Brownfield and Pat Buchannan. He has traveled the country extensively and he has seen first hand the horrible side effects from politicians who have replaced our Constitution with their own political agendas and party platforms.” For more information on America’s Constitutional Sheriff visit Sheriff Mack’s Website.
Below is Sheriff Richard Mack’s Endorsement!
It gives me great pleasure to stand in support of Bernie DeCastro for US Senate. DeCastro is a man of principle and knows and understands the fundamentals of the American dream. (A dream that does not include more “big brother” government). Bernie is the true Tea Party candidate and will be the one candidate who will not compromise your freedom and safety for his own political agenda. If you want to help your family and your country, then vote for Bernie DeCastro.
Sheriff Richard Mack (Ret)
We want to thank Sheriff Mack for this tremendous honor, and we are proud to call Sheriff Mack our friend and fellow patriot in this fight for State Nullification and Sovereignty. -The Bernie DeCastro Team for U.S. Senate 2010
One of the most interesting things about campaigning all over the State are the people you meet on a regular basis. I have met poor people, rich people, hispanic people, african american people, white people, retired people, talented people, business people, polite people, rude people, young people, dedicated people, open minded people, died in the wool republican people, blind faith democrat people, independently minded people, religious people, apathetic people, and yes passionate people.
When you speak to over ten thousand people yourself, you hear it all. I have greatly appreciated the many ideas I have been given by those who are concerned about the future of this country. Your contributions can be seen in my platform. I will never claim to have all the answers. I am not perfect, but I will always strive to provide solutions as your next U.S. Senator from the great State of Florida.
Today I wanted the opportunity to share with you an email we received from a gracious man who has been on our newsletter list. Below you will see a copy of his letter to our campaign that is unedited and untouched. After reading this email many will wonder why my campaign is publishing it’s content. The answer to your questions are very simple. This concern that Mr. Liverette brings up in his commentary for this race, is an argument I have heard just about everyday since I started this race. Here is his letter.
Bernie,
Thank you for running for U.S. Senate
However, it would be better not to split votes. Marco Rubio has a better chance of winning and I’m sure you know that. Drop out and help Rubio take the Senate away from Charlie. Your candidacy will help Crist win. We cannot have that. I am not affiliated with the Rubio campaign. I’m just a concerned citizen who can see the hand-writing on the wall.
Jerry Liverette
Dunnellon, FL
What is my response to this letter and to many of you who share Mr. Liverette’s opinion?
Marco Rubio is not a Conservative. Nor is he a person willing to “take on the liberal Obama agenda”, as he so often says. But this is not my opinion. This “accusation” is based on facts and Mr. Rubio’s own record. If all of you are still reading I would like to give you some facts to back up this strong statement. Below are some glaring differences between myself and Mr. Rubio.
My friends I could go on and on. These are just three areas where someone claiming to be a Conservative has NO EXCUSE! I am running because I believe we are past the issue of winning and losing, but instead should be asking what is RIGHT and WRONG. Don’t get me wrong I am in this to WIN! I have traveled to ninety-four cities so far and I have personally spoken to over ten thousand people. But I will not quit and support a man whose only interest seems to be winning at any cost, even at the cost of our Constitution. I will not support one Liberal of a lesser caliber to win over a Liberal of greater caliber, and speaking of caliber I am the only U.S. Senate Candidate that offers more than lip service to the 2nd Amendment. I am a proud Concealed Weapons Permit holder and also a member of Florida Open Carry.
So what does all this boil down to? Will votes given to me cause Crist to win? No, they will not! This is a five way race and of those five I am the only qualified candidate who will truly represent the Conservative Floridian, the average Floridian, You!
God Bless all of you and may He guide you in the choices you make!
Bernie DeCastro, U.S. Senate Candidate 2010
“Republican Senate candidate Marco Rubio temporarily suspended his campaign Sunday after the death of his father at Baptist Hospital in Miami.” Miami Herald 9/5/10
My staff and I would like to extend our condolences to Marco Rubio and his family in the passing of his father today. In these times, it is family that matters most and our prayers are with them all.
Ever since 1992 when the United Nations held its Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janerio, commonly referred to as the Rio Earth Summit, Sustainable Development has become a household buzzword in local, state, national and international communities. 178 nations attended this conference and President Herbert Walker Bush was the signatory for the United States.
On the surface, Sustainable Development sounds innocuous enough and seems to be inherently positive. It was defined in 1987 at the United Nations World Commission on Environment and Development as “Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
The U.S. Senate almost ratified Agenda 21 but at the very last moment they were made aware of the true meaning of Agenda 21 and they refused to ratify. Unfortunately, in 1993, President Bill Clinton circumvented the U.S. Senate and signed Executive Order 12852 and formed the President’s Council on Sustainable Development (PCSD) and “…charged it with implementing the provisions of the un-ratified Convention and Agenda 21.” (The Wizardry of Fishery Management).
Let me quote you a couple of statements from the booklet “Understanding Sustainable Development – Agenda 21 -
“At times, the political agenda embodied in Sustainable Development is implemented under other names for purposes of political expediency. J. Gary Lawrence, a planner for the city of Seattle, and advisor to the President’s Council on Sustainable Developmnent, said in 1998, that, “Participating in a U.N. advocated planning process would very likely bring out many … who would actively work to defeat any elected official … undertaking Local Agenda 21. So we will call our process something else, such as, “Comprehensive planning,” “growth management,” or “smart growth.”
The American system of government is directly tied to the institution of private property.
“Private property and freedom are inseperable.” George Washington
“Property must be secured, or liberty cannot exist.” John Adams
The Two Opposing Philosophies:
The U.S. Declaration of Independence:
Purpose of Government:
To protect the natural or unalienable rights of each individual. “That all men are created equal, thaqt they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights…”
In Short:
You’re born with rights, government exist to protec them. You and the product of your labor belong to you.
The U.N. Declaration of Human Rights:
Purpose of Government:
Control the individual for the greater good of a global community. “Rights and freedoms may in no case be exercised contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations.”
In Short:
Government grants, restricts or withdraws your rights according to its needs. You and the product of your labor belong to the community.
In closing, let me say that this entire subject of Sustainable Development and Agenda 21 has as it’s end goals the systematic reduction of the global population growth. It is in accord with “The New World Order that President George H.W. Bush declared and it is ultimately a move toward global governance and the destruction of the sovereignty of America as well as all other nations.
Dr. Michael Coffman, one of the most respected and qualified environmental scientist on earth and author of “Saviors of the Earth?” concluded after reading the 1,000-plus page U.N. Global Biodiversity Assessment and Agenda 21 that it was the most anti-human document he had ever seen. One of the features imbedded in the document are plans to implement “The Wildlands Project.” The goal of The Wildlands Project is the removal of the rural populations and returning “at least 50 percent” of the land mass of the continental United States to “wilderness” with “little or no human use.”
Florida is one of the states that is currently very much under the control of the Agenda 21 planners and “over time 90 percent of state lands will be under ownership of the government and managed according to U.N. Agenda 21and Wildlands Project dictates.”
“In Dr. Coffman’s analysis of The Wildlands Project he states that to carry out the objectives of this plan “means…forcing people to move to permitted human occupation zones and possibly shutting down half of the agriculture, forest products and mining industries.” “Indeed, the United Nations Program of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development produced a manual, The Forced Relocation of Rural Populations,” which included the statement “when rural resident inhabitants are denied access to the natural resources essential to their livelihoods, they will be forced by economics to relocate.”
In conclusion, let me just say that Sustainable Development and Agenda 21 are the most diabolical plans in the works for Amnerica. As I said, it goes to the very destruction of our sovereignty and our individual freedoms. What I cannot understand is why am I the only candidate in the race for the United States Senate that is even talking about it much less taking a stand on it. I challenge every U.S. Senate candidate to issue a position paper on this very critical issue.
